Hummingbird Project Winter Appeal For Young Refugees

This winter will be extremely challenging for the hundreds of young people we support at The Hummingbird Project. Steep rises in the cost of food, bills and clothes combined with the challenging effects of new hostile laws will mean that this period is expected to hit young people hard.
Here at the Hummingbird Project we are doing everything within our power to reach out to the most in need in the community. This has meant increasing our budgets that offer financial assistance to young people, as well as our budgets that support young people’s mental health and well being needs.
How you can show your support
Many young people we work alongside will struggle to keep warm and will face greater barriers in accessing the support they need. We need your help to continue providing our specialist support and services. Any support you are able to give, will help us fund existing and additional support and activities for the young people accessing our services.
Other examples of how your donation will help young people:
Winter appropriate clothes, visa vouchers for young people in finacial crisis, top up for electric or gas in winter months, travel expenses to meetings and youth groups, emergency accomodation and activiites that support wellbeing.
